Kathryn Cloward is the founder of Kandon® Unlimited, Inc., an independent media production and publishing company that specializes in audio, visual, digital, and print media.
Throughout her career, including two decades of bootstrapping entrepreneurial company ownership, Kathryn's visionary risk-taking and results-achieving work ethic earned her numerous leadership awards. She has been honored with the Women in Leadership Award, Women Changing the World Award, Woman of Distinction Arts Award, and over 60 Family-Friendly Media Awards. Kathryn is a Voting Member of the Recording Academy and has been a GRAMMY Awards® balloted artist multiple times.
A prolific writer and creator in her own right, Kathryn has 30 published books and over 400 published songs and music videos in her Kathryn Cloward and Kathryn the Grape catalogs. She’s earned recognition as a #1 best-selling author and an award-winning songwriter-artist.
Known as "Kathryn the Grape" to children, she brought her childhood nickname to life in an award-winning media series to provide children with social-emotional character development tools through entertaining and educational books, songs, videos, and concerts. Through her Kathryn Cloward music and poetry, she shares her transformational journey through love and loss, trauma and transformation, and healing and hope.
A great honor of Kathryn's life was being personally asked by San Diego's humble hero, Father Joe Carroll (1941-2021), to write a book for him. Kathryn wrote "Father Joe’s Six Golden Seeds" as a song and book for youth readers and his storytelling memoir, "Father Joe: Life Stories of a Hustler Priest," for teen and adult readers. Published by her Kandon Unlimited company, proceeds help children in need.
