This was me exactly a year ago hiking in Sedona in Boyton Canyon on my way to Kachina Woman. You can see her rock formation above my head — like a cluster of women standing together. The feminine power of this specific place always draws me in. She calls to me.
Sedona is my place.
Some trips have been for healing. Some trips have been for writing. Some trips have been for sanctuary. This trip was for gratitude. I had just ended a decade long creative journey and I need to go there to reflect upon my growth with abundant gratitude. Guided by pure love, I filled up on what I needed.
Then the last morning of the trip, hours before leaving, I woke up at 3am flooded with the words and visuals of what would become, My Treasure Box with Tools of Love — the single book that simplifies my seven-book affirmation series. The story just channeled through me with ease and clarity. I always say every song and every book I write comes through me, they’re not of me.
But it’s taken the mindful discipline of reducing noise in my life to be an open conduit for receiving Divine flow and to fully trust the messages.
Fast forward a year and that book just picked up a Mom’s Choice Award and many children have enjoyed its messages of affirming self-love and unifying compassion.
Sharing about this today feels appropriate because we never know what’s ahead and what Spirit desires to manifest through us. But my goodness, what a beautiful journey of discovery we are able to embark upon when we allow our lives to be shaped by Divine wisdom flowing through us — absent of ego’s need for a clearly defined outcome.
So in this season of quieting our lives and simplifying all that’s non-essential, may we mindfully choose to allow ourselves to be more open and receptive of the flow of pure goodness.
What’s desiring to be manifested through you?
