"Father Joe: Life Stories of a Hustler Priest"
A Humble Hero's Memoir
Father Joe Carroll
April 12, 1941 – July 10, 2021
Living a life in humble service focused on helping others, Father Joe was a true hero. He was known throughout the world as the “hustler priest” whose tireless determination created housing solutions and compassionate services for families and individuals experiencing homelessness.
Two years in the making, working with writer Kathryn Cloward, Father Joe celebrated the release of his memoir, Father Joe: Life Stories of a Hustler Priest, on his 80th birthday (April 12, 2021) and joyfully shared about the book as the lead story on news station in San Diego that day. The book debuted as a #1 New Release on Amazon and remained in the top position for a week.
Prior to his July 10, 2021 passing, Father Joe enjoyed a few months of sharing about his memoir through local and national news publications, and was grateful to receive notes from people who read the book. He entrusted Kathryn to carry on his story to help others know their lives matter and we all have goodness to contribute to humanity. Father Joe: Life Stories of a Hustler Priest — the only authorized biography of his life — shares the humor, heartache, and heart of a man who did his best to authentically follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
